I have included marsh birds because of the wonderful Livadi marshes. I read about them in a blog before ever seeing Kefalonia, and knew it was a place worth a visit. On our first holiday here, I managed to persuade the wife to visit the marshes. As we pulled up to a layby along the marsh a hen harrier flew over the car. I was hooked and am always telling Simone that we should go again.
