LITTLE EGRET
Just over half the size of the great egret at 600mm high and a 1m wingspan. This egret is similar in appearance to its larger cousin apart from the adults which have trailing head plumes during the breeding season and more noticeably they have bright yellow feet and toes. These are the most common white heron-like birds, seen mostly along marshes, lakes and coastal lagoons. It is also found in wet fields, hunting insects, amphibians and snails. They are often found in loose feeding flocks and gather in larger numbers to roost.I'm a paragraph. I'm connected to your collection through a dataset. Click Preview to see my content.
